Elysha BrennanElysha BrennanRose of TraleeElysha brennan is a third year medical student in the Royal college of surgeons Dublin. She hopes to pursue a career in paediatric oncology after she completes her undergraduate. She is currently an ambassador for Aoibheanns pink tie, an Irish paediatric oncology charity. She has a keen interest in the research field in oncology after being diagnosed with lymphoma at 19.After being crowned the 2015 international rose of Tralee she has travelled extensively including trips to the Middle East, the United States, Germany, a visit to Kolkata, India with the hope foundation & Tanzania with development perspectives & COSECSA. As well as many international visits she undertook a 32 county tour of Ireland in January & February & has been part of many local projects.This year Elysha has spoken in countless primary & secondary schools to young Students. She launched the social media campaign #InsideAndOut in June. The campaign's aim was to promote positive body image, self confidence & esteem in young men & women. The campaign was a huge success and sparked a conversation in Ireland about how we can be a self derogatory & negative nation. She hopes to continue to encourage & inspire young people throughout her career. Previous Next
